The concept of a ‘just transition’ encompasses political and policy imperatives to minimize the harmful impacts industrial economic transitions on workers, communities, society more generally, maximize their potential benefits. This imperative has gained heightened importance as governments commit reducing greenhouse gas emissions. A wide range policies, strategies initiatives have been adopted by national regional facilitate help manage just transition.
